A barnstar for you![edit]

The Random Acts of Kindness Barnstar
This is a thank you for your quick defense of me in that absolutely bogus sockpuppet allegation. I'm not feeling well today and was also unable to be on Wikipedia for a couple of days due to being busy, so I'm very grateful and appreciate your help in this case. ChessEric 18:42, 29 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@ChessEric: Any time. Sorry to hear you aren't feeling well. TornadoLGS (talk) 22:01, 29 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Howdy![edit]

Hey TornadoLGS

Just wanted to mention I haven't seen you around the tornado/severe weather article space in a while, it's good to see you editing these outbreak articles again as well as others! Wikiwillz (talk) 01:25, 16 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Wikiwillz: Yeah a few life changes and other stuff going on has drawn me away from weather more than I'd like. I might pop in but still probably won't edit as much as I used to. TornadoLGS (talk) 01:28, 16 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry to hear that, it's always good to see you around when you do pop in for sure. Thanks for all you do around here! Wikiwillz (talk) 01:31, 16 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Wikiwillz: Not all bad. I got a new job, which is one thing that has taken up my time. TornadoLGS (talk) 01:33, 16 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of a rapper HipHop singer Daniel Marc Mouyal[edit]

Can anyone please help me out, whats wrong with article i have written yesterday about the famous Singer Daniel Marc Mouyal ...

Draft:Daniel Marc Mouyal here it is in my draft now Djmooyall23 (talk) 18:08, 9 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Daniel Marc Mouyal: The template at the top of the page gives the reasons your draft was rejected: it did not have adequate reliable sources and it was not written in a formal tone. I commented on your talk page because it appeared that you had written the page about yourself, which is strongly discouraged. From your later comments, it appears that you were paid by this person to write an article about them, which isn't exactly better. Any payment must be disclosed. TornadoLGS (talk) 20:06, 9 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I am paid by Daniel Marc Mouyal $50.00 on fiverr.com to write the article and upload it to wikipedia.org since he is featured in notable newspaper "The Jerusalem Post" and many online entertainment news sources such as "genius.com" "thesis50.com" and many more. Daniel Mouyal was also on #3 Hip-hop/R&B Canada charts on "Apple Music" and has over 18,000 subscribers on Youtube ( https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCk3hNPVssFQReVqjLCluQNA ). Daniel Mouyal is a rising sensation in music and entertainment.

@Daniel Marc Mouyal: Respond to the comments on your talk page, not mine. My involvement in your case is minimal. TornadoLGS (talk) 16:17, 11 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Page mover granted[edit]

Hello, TornadoLGS. Your account has been granted the "extendedmover" user right, either following a request for it or demonstrating familiarity with working with article names and moving pages. You are now able to rename pages without leaving behind a redirect, move subpages when moving the parent page(s), and move category pages.

Please take a moment to review Wikipedia:Page mover for more information on this user right, especially the criteria for moving pages without leaving a redirect. Please remember to follow post-move cleanup procedures and make link corrections where necessary, including broken double-redirects when suppressredirect is used. This can be done using Special:WhatLinksHere. It is also very important that no one else be allowed to access your account, so you should consider taking a few moments to secure your password. As with all user rights, be aware that if abused, or used in controversial ways without consensus, your page mover status can be revoked.

If you do not want the page mover right anymore, just let me know, and I'll remove it. Thank you, and happy editing! – robertsky (talk) 03:00, 20 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

SPI[edit]

FYI, I opened a report about the accounts creating sandboxes about Western Community College: Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Anshul Chinram. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 20:16, 23 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. Looks like you have it covered. I don't think I have anything to add. TornadoLGS (talk) 20:19, 23 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

CSD criterion[edit]

I noticed that you tagged Brian Benison with {{db-reason|1=Unsourced article was immediately re-created in mainspace after being draftified.|help=off}}. The Twinkle option for "custom rationale" says:

{{db}} is short for "delete because". At least one of the other deletion criteria must still apply to the page, and you must make mention of this in your rationale. This is not a "catch-all" for when you can't find any criteria that fit.

In this case, {{db-copypaste}} (a subcategory of WP:G6) would apply, so you should use it (which I've added this time). If you can't find a CSD criterion that applies to a page, you shouldn't tag it for speedy deletion; instead, you should use an alternative like PROD, XFD, REVDEL, etc. jlwoodwa (talk) 21:39, 24 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Jlwoodwa: Thanks I figured it was clearly inappropriate to immediately recreate an unsourced BLP article after it was draftified, but I wasn't sure exactly the criterion and PROD and XFD take too long. TornadoLGS (talk) 21:42, 24 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I have a somewhat abandoned draft article you can help me with[edit]

I invite you and anyone else who wants to to edit Draft:list of particularly dangerous situation watches. It seems as if that article has sorta been forgotten about. We’ve only gotten down to 2020 (for completely listed) and if I recall, the entries only go back to 2019. There’s still a lot more in IEM archives. Your help at expanding the list to mainspace ready format would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. West Virginia WXeditor (talk) 18:18, 8 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@WestVirginiaWX: It might be worth a scroll through SPC archives as well. That being said I have a few things to attend to off-wiki and may need to reduce the time I spend editing. TornadoLGS (talk) 04:22, 10 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That’s ok. I sent the same message to several other editors too. All I am trying to do is to get people’s attention about the draft because at the moment, I am the only person editing it. West Virginia WXeditor (talk) 16:29, 10 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Also of note; the SPC Watch archive only gives us an extra two years; they go back to 2004. West Virginia WXeditor (talk) 23:10, 10 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@WestVirginiaWX: Do we know when PDS watches were introduced? TornadoLGS (talk) 00:33, 11 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Based on the List of SPC High Risk Days article; the first PDS Tornado Watch was issued on April 2, 1982, but records are very limited prior to the 2000s. As for the first Severe Thunderstorm Watch; I honestly don’t know. The first one that I know for sure there was a record of was in 2006; but that’s also conveniently as far back as the IEM archive goes, so there were very likely PDS Severe Thunderstorm Watches prior to 2006. I also have no idea where anyone could find records of PDS watches prior to about 2004 (which is as far back as the SPC archive goes). But I’ll also admit that I haven’t really looked much beyond the SPC and IEM for archive information. West Virginia WXeditor (talk) 04:29, 11 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
But I would assume that PDS watches were introduced in 1982. West Virginia WXeditor (talk) 04:30, 11 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
If someone knows the PIL code for Severe Thunderstorm Watches and Tornado Watches (I don’t know what that would be); someone could manually look though at least most the watches on record (the record has holes in it) and possibly fill in the gap with the PDS watches list. Because the IEM records include messages with standard PIL codes (prior to VTEC being established in 2005) and I believe those records go back to the 1980s I think. But it would take a while (probably a few weeks at least) to comb through all of those records if they exist at all. West Virginia WXeditor (talk) 04:37, 11 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Don’t try to look for the PIL codes! The watches ain’t there! Ask ChrisWX he found out the hard way. He told me he couldn’t find anything on the IEM archive prior to the VTEC implementation in 2005. West Virginia WXeditor (talk) 09:30, 11 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Wonderdome Planetarium link[edit]

Hi, last night I updated a link on this page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_planetariums It was a link from the word Wonderdome Planetarium to that website. I assumed this was valuable to the readers as many other planetariums have hyper links on the names of their planetariums? Please advise what I have done wrong. Thanks Matt Service4education (talk) 07:03, 11 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Service4education: The other links there are wikilinks, that is they lead to other Wikipedia articles. As a general rule, external links should not be inserted into the text of an article. You also added the same link to two unrelated articles, which was not appropriate and could easily be taken for spam even if it was well-intended. The message I left on your talk page contains a link to Wikipedia’s guidelines on external links. TornadoLGS (talk) 07:25, 11 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Image reverted[edit]

Thank you sir DEVIREDDY PRASANNA KYMAR (talk) 04:49, 14 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@DEVIREDDY PRASANNA KYMAR: Not sure what you mean by it being "open source." Do you mean public domain? If it is, you would need to provide evidence that it is. Do not falsely claim it as your own work. If you found it on Instagram it is probably copyrighted and cannot be added. Just because an image can be downloaded from the Internet does not mean it is free to use. Most pictures of celebrities are copyrighted so, unfortunately, we often cannot have the best or most up-to date pictures. TornadoLGS (talk) 04:55, 14 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
OK SIR I AGREE ,I WANT TO UPLOAD THAT IMAGE PLEASE GUIDE ME STEP BY STEP HOW TO UPLOAD THAT IMAGE ,SRY FOR MISTAKE PLEASE I KINDLY REQUEST I WANT TO UPLOAD THAT PHOTO ,MY INTENSION IS ONLY UPLOAD LATEST PIC OF ACTRESS THATS IT ,I CANNOT UPLOAD ANY ABBUSE CONTENT DEVIREDDY PRASANNA KYMAR (talk) 04:58, 14 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@DEVIREDDY PRASANNA KYMAR: To be blunt, the image is copyrighted. Uploading it is not permitted. There is nothing that can be done about it. TornadoLGS (talk) 06:10, 14 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Behavenet movie links[edit]

I wonder if you looked at the pages you identified as "spam", which I consider a personal attack, before you removed the links. These pages were only added to movies with extensive psychiatric/addiction content and are comparable in quality to books like Danny Wedding's Movies and Mental Illness. As such they represent an invaluable resource for study of psychiatry and Cinema without comparison on the Web. If you care about users of Wikipedia, you will restore them immediately. Plyingfig (talk) 22:19, 14 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Plyingfig: Our dispute was months ago so I suggest you stop beating a dead horse. I’ll say though it is not Wikipedia’s responsibility to right great wrongs. I identified the links as spam because that is usually the case when one user keeps adding the same link to multiple articles. Nothing personal was meant by it. If you want a second opinion, I suggest you go to the help desk. Please remember to keep any comments there civil and comment on content, not contributors.
