Wikipedia:Cleaning_up_vandalism article's checklist by warning the offending user, who just happened to be a "regular". I believe I've cleaned up a vandalising edit correctly and in good faith, a regular should have known all the better than to vandalise a page for a joke. WP:Assume good faith , one of the central pillars of this site. Which is more plausible, an experienced administrator trusted enough to have access to users' IP addresses , dealing with this huge mess :
accidentally reintroduced an older element while getting rid of newer vandalism?
deliberately vandalized the page?
