Halococcus hamelinii[edit]

Hi @Tyroxin, what are you trying to do in this edit? I'll try to help, because at present that edit doesn't do anything in a wikipedia sense. That's not a valid reason for deletion so you need to elaborate on what you're attempting to do. Alyo (chat·edits) 15:55, 12 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Same question for Halococcus qingdaogense. Are you trying to redirect that page to Halococcus qingdaonensis instead? Alyo (chat·edits) 15:57, 12 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I was updating Halococcus to the current list of accepted species, hamelinii and qingdaogense were not on the list present at LSPN, instead hamelinensis and qingdaonensis. Since they did not have an article yet, and were not listed as synonyms at LSPN, I expected them to be (irrelevant) misspellings. Upon closer look, hamelinii can be found as synonym 1 (myhits, protein domain database) and/or old proposed name 2 (conference report). H. qingdaogense as well myhits and erroneous supplemented sequence label in the original paper 1. So, I now agree, both have value to remain as redirects. --Tyroxin (talk) 16:50, 12 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Ahh, that makes sense. Thanks for updating that! Alyo (chat·edits) 16:55, 12 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Edit summaries[edit]

Hello! Thanks for your work on taxonomic articles, especially switching them to automatic taxoboxes. I noticed that you don't seem to use edit summaries for your edits. Please remember to use this field to provide a quick summary of your edits so other users know what you're up to. Cheers! ♠PMC(talk) 07:20, 11 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
