Welcome![edit]

Some cookies to welcome you!

Welcome to Wikipedia, Wrfrancis! I am Graymornings and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or by typing {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. I love to help new users, so don't be afraid to leave a message! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome!

February 2009[edit]

Greetings!
Your recent edittoPhotoprotein included a link to a disambiguation page. The use of these links is discouraged on Wikipedia as they are unhelpful to readers. In the future, please check your links to make sure they point to an article. Thanks! twirligigLeave one! ⋄ Check me out! 21:04, 15 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Soret Peak, and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: Soret peak. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally moving or duplicating content, please be sure you have followed the procedure at Wikipedia:Splitting by acknowledging the duplication of material in edit summary to preserve attribution history.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Structural formulas[edit]

Hi Wrfrancis. Please read Wikipedia:Manual of Style (chemistry)/Structure drawing#Technical considerations. Thank you. --Leyo 10:21, 21 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Page moves[edit]

When you rename a page, like you did with Gaussia princeps, please make sure that you actually move the page. Cut-and-paste moves separate the page from its edit history. This is a violation of the copyright license. Thanks. Guettarda (talk) 23:37, 21 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Problem with Chembox[edit]

{{helpme}} I created an article the other day for pyoverdine, but the Chembox template is not displaying correctly. Is there something I am missing? Thanks. Wrfrancis (talk) 06:08, 26 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The problem was caused by the IUPAC name, which contained lots of [[ and [, which confuses the system, because those characters are used to make [[wikilinks]].
As I have no idea what the IUPAC name should be, I have temporarily <!-- Commented it out --> so that at least the rest of the things display. Hope that helps,  Chzz  ►  06:17, 26 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for March 15[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Luciferin, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Excitation (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Regeneration (biology), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Autolysis (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
