Consensus on how to split article Senran Kagura

[edit]

Hello, you're invited to express your views about this topic on the discussion topic. Jotamide (talk) 04:49, 25 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Nuclear energy in Uruguay, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Nuclear energy (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:08, 25 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Apologies

[edit]

I saw your message on my talk page and have no problem with your edits. I have no recollection of those reverts but they would appear to have been made after I had a fall and hit my head. I appear to have done a few strange things afterward. Sorry if I caused you concern. WCMemail 15:46, 15 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Brasileños en Japón

[edit]

I'll be happy to help with es:Brasileños en Japón! What I'll do in en:Brazilians in Japan is try to find Google Books pages of any of the books cited. That will help with verifiability. WhisperToMe (talk) 18:50, 14 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Archiving tips

[edit]

As I'm getting to work I'd like to share some tips on archiving. 1. Try to find alternate locations of content if archiving one version fails.

2. If you can't directly archive to webcitation.org, you can try archiving to web.archive.org and then try to archive that one to webcitation.org.

WhisperToMe (talk) 19:38, 14 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, here's one example: web.archive.org is step 1, step 2 is webcitation.org. If directly using webcitation fails, you can do it indirectly WhisperToMe (talk) 20:24, 14 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

AFAIK the English Wikipedia does not allow placement of archive today/archive is links. However it's still good to archive stuff there on your own (they may be put on other Wikipedias). Some links:

Photo requests for Liceo Mexicano Japonés

[edit]

Hi! I'm looking for people in Mexico City to photograph the main entrance of Liceo Mexicano Japonés (it would be very good for many articles). Do you know many Mexico City-based editors who are interested? WhisperToMe (talk) 15:20, 23 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! I'll look through the list and see what I find WhisperToMe (talk) 20:18, 23 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. This was a worthless stub: it was about 450 characters with spelling errors, an IMDB citation, a link to articles she's written on al Jazeera, and a dead link to this site. I wouldn't mind restoring it if it were potentially useful, but you'd have to rewrite it all, so there's no point. Nyttend (talk) 20:09, 21 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

A source you might want to back up: "Assimilation to American Life vs. Maintenance of Mother Culture : Japanese and Korean Children in New York"

[edit]

Hi, Zerabat!

I found『Assimilation to American Life vs. Maintenance of Mother Culture : Japanese and Korean Children in New York』by Mari Kunieda is only available in one place https://www.webcitation.org/6XfufE6Jb?url=http://ci.nii.ac.jp/els/110000469807.pdf?id=ART0000851255&type=pdf&lang=en&host=cinii&order_no=&ppv_type=0&lang_sw=&no=1428634639&cp=asCiNii had pulled the link. It was not saved anywhere else other than Webcitation.org. While I have a copy on my hard drive it might be a good idea to for you to download and preserve this one too.

I use it as a source for Japanese Americans in New York City, Korean Americans in New York City, and several others. WhisperToMe (talk) 05:15, 5 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
