Vokhomsky District (Russian: Во́хомский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[6] district (raion), one of the twenty-fourinKostroma Oblast, Russia. It is located in the east of the oblast. The area of the district is 3,400 square kilometers (1,300 sq mi).[2] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a settlement) of Vokhma.[1] Population: 6,948 (2021 Census);[8] 10,152 (2010 Russian census);[3] 13,444 (2002 Census);[9] 16,891 (1989 Soviet census).[10] The population of Vokhma accounts for 56.5% of the district's total population.[8]
