Waterland (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈʋaːtərlɑnt] ⓘ) is a municipality in the Netherlands, in the provinceofNorth Holland. It is situated north of Amsterdam, on the western shore of the Markermeer. It includes the tourist towns of Broek in Waterland and Marken.
