Madelaine West Duchovny[2] (born April 24, 1999)[1] is an American actress.[3] She is best known for the film A Mouthful of Air, the SyFy series The Magicians,[4] the Netflix series Painkiller,[5][6] and the Hulu series Saint X.

    Early life[edit]

Duchovny is the daughter of actors David Duchovny and Téa Leoni and has a younger brother.[2][7] Duchovny's paternal uncle is actor and director Daniel Duchovny. After living her first ten years in Los Angeles, she moved with her family to New York City.[8] Duchovny had no interest in acting and would attend pre-medical before her senior year of high school, where she decided to perform in a staging of Slut: The Play to help a friend that was directing, and wound up liking the experience.[9][10]
