    Automatic, Supervised, or Manual: automatic

    Programming language(s): Perl

Source code available: Available upon request

Links to relevant discussions (where appropriate): User_talk:JL-Bot#Wikipedia:WikiProject_Magazines.2FMagazines_cited_by_Wikipedia

    Edit period(s): Once per month

Estimated number of pages affected: 500

    Exclusion compliant (Yes/No):No

Already has a bot flag (Yes/No): Yes

Function details: Extends JL-Bot 7 to provide the same functionality for WP:MCW that is currently done for WP:JCW. Please run these consecutively without other tasks and post link to the contributions range when done. — xaosflux Talk 01:55, 20 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Xaosflux: I had told the botop I intended to speedy approve this at Wikipedia_talk:Bots/Requests_for_approval#Wikipedia:WikiProject_Magazines.2FMagazines_cited_by_Wikipedia. It uses the exact same code as JL-Bot 7 but extends it to {{Cite magazine}}, and it only edits in project-space at a very low rate, so no chance of running awry. Would you object to me following through on what I told the botop? (Worth noting both Headbomb and Hellknowz agreed with no trial at the user talk discussion.) ~ Rob13Talk 13:54, 20 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@BU Rob13: if you would like, I saw it pop up so figured a very fast trial would be easy enough. — xaosflux Talk 15:28, 20 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Trial complete. It was easy enough to do. See here. -- JLaTondre (talk) 20:24, 20 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
    The trial worked as intended, btw. Headbomb {t · c · p · b} 13:30, 21 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@JLaTondre: Approved, note this is for Wikipedia, Wikipedia_talk: namesapces only. — xaosflux Talk 00:53, 24 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
