Lede and overall
-
Per Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Lead section, the lede of this article adequately defines the Boletus aereus, establishes the mushroom's necessary context, and explains why the mushroom is otherwise notable.
-
The info box for the Boletus aereus is beautifully formatted and its content is sourced within the prose of the text and by the references cited therein.
-
As Nikkimaria already engaged in an image review, I'll refrain from further commentary on the article's media now that the archival link for the photo in question has been added.
-
For consistency's sake, I would suggest re-rendering the regions of consumption as: Spain (Basque Country and Navarre), France, Italy, Greece, and generally throughout the Mediterranean. Or any other way that highlights that Basque Country and Navarre are in Spain, since the rest of the regions mentioned are countries.
-
Mycologist should be wiki-linked to Mycology on its first use, as its a field of study some readers inexperienced with fungi may be unaccustomed with.
-
The lede is otherwise well-written, consists of content that is adequately sourced and verifiable, and I have no further comments or questions for this section.
Taxonomy and phylogeny

Description
-
"stipe" should be de-linked here as it is wiki-linked above in the prose in the "Taxonomy and phylogeny" section.
-
This section is otherwise well-written, consists of content that is adequately sourced and verifiable, and I have no further comments or questions regarding this section.
Distribution and habitat
-
In the lede, the cork oak is rendered as "cork oak (Quercus suber)" with the species name wiki-linked. This is done again in the "Taxonomy and phylogeny" section. But in this section, "sweet chestnut (Castanea sativa)" is rendered with "sweet chestnut" wiki-linked and the species name un-linked. Since the various broadleaved trees and sclerophyllous shrubs mentioned all have their genus names wiki-linked, it would be best for consistency's sake to link the species and/or genus names in the parentheses throughout the article.
