WikiProject Georgetown University would seek to improve coverage and quality of articles covering Georgetown University and related topics. The university is already covered fairly well on Wikipedia, so much of the work would be to improve the quality of existing articles. The project would principally serve to identify the areas requiring the most work, identifying all the related topics, and centralizing a list of editors who contribute to these articles. Why do you want to start a new group, instead of joining one of these existing groups?
All of the related wikiprojects cover broad topics. This wikiproject would be specifically tailored to Georgetown University, much like similar university-specific wikiprojects.
I think it would make sense to go ahead and create a project if we had at least five editors interested in it. @Ceranthor, Patrickneil, and SMcCandlish: Do you know anyone else whose contributor to Georgetown-related articles in the past and might be interested in getting involved with this? Not something I keep track of. I did not attend GU, and no longer live in DC, and don't spend any editorial time on either. I would suggest looking at the histories of relevant articles and their talk pages for non-trivial edits, and invite active editors to participate in the project. Maybe do that looking first. If you only see a half-dozen people in the last couple of years and they're not even all active any more then that's probably not enough to sustain a wikiproject, and it might be better as a taskforce/workgroup of the one on DC. Ask on its talk page, too, about who might be involved, whether they'd rather have a project or a taskforce.
