From the editors

Welcome to the third Bugle edition of 2016!

This issue covers a wide range of topics. Starting things off, the article news section highlights many new featured and A-class articles on subjects ranging from a "fictional German nobleman and soldier" of the 1970s to an unsuccessful Cold War-era US Army anti-missile system. Pleasingly, the section features two editors who hadn't previously developed FA or A-class articles - congratulations to Lemuellio and KAVEBEAR for these achievements.

The regular book review section also covers a lot of ground: its centrepiece is a pair of reviews by Hawkeye7 covering a biography of a famous German armoured warfare specialist of World War II and the recent autobiography of a self-described Australian "mercenary mum". The round-up of recent professional book reviews covers works ranging from modern cyberwarfare to the medieval crusades.

Continuing the theme, TomStar81's World War I timeline provides a summary of the key events around the world during March 1916. Tom also goes into greater detail on the major battles of the year in his op-ed.

We hope that you enjoy these articles. Don't forget that contributions to future editions are very welcome - please feel free to post them directly on the Bugle'snewsroom, or contact either of the editors.

Your editors, Ian Rose (talk) and Nick-D (talk)
