Ziaabad (Persian: ضياءآباد)[a] is a city in, and the capital of, Ziaabad DistrictofTakestan County, Qazvin province, Iran.[4] It was formerly the capital of Dodangeh-ye Olya Rural District[5] until the capital was transferred to the village of Farsajin.[6]
The language of the city was one of the Turkish language dialects, based on some sources the language is Azerbaijani Turkish.[7][8][9][10]
At the time of the 2006 National Census, the city's population was 8,385 in 2,411 households.[11] The following census in 2011 counted 8,637 people in 2,671 households.[12] The 2016 census measured the population of the city as 8,262 people in 2,737 households.[2]
The main agricultural production of Ziaabad is walnuts.[13]
