Compare to Scandinavian countries where they're closing prisons down because they don't have prisoners to put in them because they simply have less crime, and when someone DOES commit a crime, they rehabilitate them.
Wrong. It is actually the opposite situation here in Sweden now, unfortunately. That was perhaps the goal and sentiment respectively thirty years ago.
Today, the prisons are full, and there have been inquiries to rent cells in other countries until new prisons have been built.
The current administration had been elected for being "tough on crime", and wants to put 13-y/o's in prison despite of experts claiming that branding them as criminals and forcing them to socialise with older, more experienced criminals would only make them worse.
We are still a long way from the death penalty though, Thank God.
BTW. My best argument against the death penalty is that it would degrade ourselves to the criminal's level. We don't kill people, because we are better than that!

Back when my in-laws were still alive, we'd make regular trips back to eastern Washington - which involved going through the Ellensburg-Vantage stretch of Interstate 90. There are lots of wind turbines there. I remember stopping at a rest area there one particularly cold, foggy winter day. There was no noise from the interstate... all you could hear was a quiet "whoosh" from the nearby turbines, which were poking out of the fog into the blue sky. It actually was pretty awesome.

Given a lot of what they've said, done, and/or tried... I think the administration actually wants to put us back into the 1890s.
Except for Stephen Miller - he's firmly grounded in the German Reich.

Here ya go.
One thing the Ming Dynasty is known for is - it was when most of the construction happened for what people typically think of as the "Great Wall of China" (most of the brick and stone wall sections).

Electric multi-rotor fuckthings.
To be fair, they actually wanted to use this term - but they changed their minds after remembering "EMF" is already in use for something completely different.

Why would someone craft an email like that and save it to drafts?
Remember David Petraeus, and how he and his mistress shared a Gmail account where they'd send messages to each other by saving them as unsent drafts?
It appears that, at least for a while, some people were using this method as their own secret cloud storage service for stuff they didn't want discovered.

Honestly I don't care, I think if most men where offered to go to an Island with a lot of sexy women they that would have sex with them they would.
So you're gonna totally ignore the part about the girls being initially tricked to get control over them and then coerced into prostitution?

People have their panties in a bunch because someone comes from Mexico during the harvest season to pick crops, but they don't seem to care about this.
But this involves white people - so it's okay. That Mexican person is brown.

●I have a similar theory about why UIs are becoming increasingly shite: it's because nobody remembers the problem they were created to solve. So instead of typing obscure commands nobody can remember you have to do an obscure combination of wobbles and shakes that nobody can remember.
But back to the politics. Yes, there are very few people around who remember WW2 and the period leading up to it. There aren't that many who've met anyone that was in it. But FFS, we have writing. Isn't that one of its primary functions - to transmit information beyond a lifespan - then what is?
