And I took time out of my day running the Chinese government just a comment on slash Dot.
Also can you tell your buddy Donald Trump to stop fucking kids? I need to make a trade deal with them but he's just so busy being a pedophile. I mean 30 credible rape accusations eight of which involved children and now we find out from the Epstein files that he was just selling underaged girls. I mean we already knew he was doing it but we've got it in writing now

The goal here is to create a post capitalist society without socialism. What the cool kids called techno feudalism.
AI replaces the paying of wages. Instead of employees and consumers the 3,000 billionaires on the planet will have machines and a tiny handful of engineers to keep them working. Also a tiny handful of thugs to keep the engineers in line.
Everyone else including you will live in the kind of abject poverty previously associated with the worst of the American native American reservations before the casinos. Every now and then if you start to develop a civilization on your own they will send drones to slaughter you similar to what they did to Black Wall Street as it was called.
I don't know if they will actually succeed but that is absolutely the plan.
The ruling class doesn't like capitalism. Just because they benefit from it doesn't mean they enjoy it. They absolutely despise being dependent on filthy worms like us for their power and prestige. And for the first time in human history they have a way to be almost completely free of us.
I think the hard part is it's very hard for people to wrap their heads around the idea that someone who benefited so much from capitalism would destroy it.

try and keep the niche role by having scripts than no-one else knows about
This is nonsense. Nobody with any sense is developing their own solutions for everything, because someone else has already done it — unless it's so simple that someone else competent could just write essentially the same script. I write tons of short scripts, but I don't think any of them are magic, they're just time savers because I will do the same things again later. Then maybe they become the basis of some automation later.
It's also nonsense because one of the defining characteristics of shell scripts is that they are self-documenting. If you understand what the commands do, you know what the script does when you read it. If not, you can look the commands up in the manual. None of it is secret if someone else walks in to your job after you get hit by a bus.

A lot of people have lost their shirts. Meanwhile with Trump as president there's basically no money laundering laws being enforced. So why bother going to the trouble of using crypto to launder your money? And at the end of the day money laundering is the killer app for cryptocurrency.

If he hated wind farms that bad, he would sell the course.
He's spent hundreds of millions of dollars rehabbing a course which only turned a profit seven years after purchasing it, and the profit doesn't come close to covering all the previous costs. But the real question is, where did he get the money to purchase the course in cash in the first place? Then again, how else would he be able to launder money?

Microsoft basic was stolen code fished out of school trash cans.
Are we seeing this nonsense because he's in the Epstein files? I imagine his PR firm is working overtime right now.

We no longer need it. We have pipewire and wireplumber. They do that job and some other jobs too. The combo replaces both pulseaudio and JACK, and also connects ALSA clients so they get their own volume controls as well.

Which countries consume the largest amounts of these drugs?

Cabooses are not really a part of modern rail, and they've always been a freight thing.
Now that's not to say the idea of having a dedicated railcar that's batteries is a bad idea, but it's almost certainly not necessary. Single floored passenger railcars generally have a lot of space underneath the main carriage - and Britain's loading gauge is too restricted for double decker trains (before anyone comments, no, Bullied's odd interlaced thing isn't really double decker and doesn't disprove the point! Plus it was cramped and claustrophobic... there's a reason it was decommissioned decades ago and nobody has tried to do the same thing since.) For the US... well, they're still using dedicated locomotives and think multiple units are some crazy thing nobody uses really, so don't expect it to be necessary there either. But there may be nice applications for which an added battery car is a good idea.

Yeah well in the USA there's a lot of stupid people too, such as those who use a justification of an error of justice from a country known to use the death penalty in stupid cases and attempt to apply them to a case where guilt isn't even in question.
Maybe make your point on a different story, it would have more meaning.

Who said this is a deterrent? By all accounts these people here should have been removed from life. Ideally we'd invent a time machine and give their parents the death penalty instead. It's one thing to rape and murder, it's quite another to head up a ring of mass trafficking, slavery, torture, all to defraud others.
These people didn't commit crimes, they invented entire enterprises to perform crime in a commercial quantity. Fuck them. The death penalty wasn't barbaric enough.

The conspiracty theory wackos will now point to this and say they told everyone. Now they really won't get any vaccinations.
On a (slightly) more serious note, this is neat. Could these robots be programmed to go to a specific body part and deliver a bit of medicine rather than the current method of using a shotgun? If so, cancer treatments would greatly benefit.
