Barzakh is a sequence that happens after death, in which the archangel Azrael or his helper angels will separate the soul from the body...

I see some amount of contradiction in this line. Shouldn't there be any soul left in the body soon after a person die? How can soul be separeted from the body after death? Is this a mistake? --Oblivious 21:25, 7 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

No not a mistake, Muslims believe that during a person's life they undertake a test etc. The arch angles then seperate the soul from the body AFTER death when they are almost in a state of purgatory, how would this be at all possible whilst the person is alive? If it was we would have thousands and thousands of test of facutal proof about religion, rather than it being based on faith and trust, because people around the dying person would be able to witness the seperation of soul from body. This is not just a belief of Islam, it is also a belief in many of the other mainstream religions such as Christianity and Hindusim. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.130.43.233 (talkcontribs)

Etymology: Barzakh is a Persian loanword in Arabic

edit

The word is not Arabic:

It must be mentioned in the lead or etymology section. --188.158.101.10 (talk) 15:30, 24 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

"sequeezing", OR/SYNTH image

edit

The stages of Barzakh image is original researchorWP:SYNTH. Along with it not being supported anywhere in the body of the article, it has typos ("sequeezing", "punishement") and poor formatting. I am tagging it for Commons deletion. JoelleJay (talk) 23:55, 11 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
