Vehicles

edit

Why are there pictures of all the vehicles used to traverse the park, but none of the park itself? —Preceding unsigned comment added by User:69.143.169.112 (talkcontribs) 12:29 5 March 2006 (UTC)

Map of the site

edit

This is another article where we need a map of the place to plan our way through the exhibition in advance. Where will we stop arriving with a train? What is shown where, where hide in the case of rain? --SonniWP 18:49, 16 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

http://www.bclm.co.uk/map.htm contains a good map, reference to this special page will behelpful. --SonniWP 19:00, 16 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Restructuring of article Jan 2009

edit

I hope that I have given a better picture of what there is at the Museum. I have visited several times, and seen some of the changes. The article is far from complete - this is a work in progress. I agree with the anonymous who wondered why there was so much about transport. It looks like the original was done by a bus and tram enthusiast, which is fair enough for filling parts of the whole article. More material welcome, so it's up to you, folks. I have stayed with the preface for image names of BCLM image name, so as to try to get all images on Wiki Commons easily found by searching BCLM. I have been asked to pass on this info:

Saturday 18 February, 10.00am to 3.30pm

On the 18th February 2012, Black Country Living Museum will be opening up its object stores and site to volunteer Wikipedia editors. Volunteers will go “behind the scenes” at the museum, in search of inspiration for new Wikipedia articles.

The day will include:

Places are limited therefore you will need to pre-book your place by contacting the museum Requirements: Attendees will need to have some knowledge of using Wikipedia, they will be required to bring their own laptop with power cable & also a digital camera should you wish to add your own images to articles.

Hope to see you there. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 15:26, 9 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Moved from lead

edit

This snippet of local information seemed to me unduly weighted in the lead:

The site is four miles from the birthplace of artist Thomas F Worrall (born, 1872), whose father worked as a blacksmith in Darlaston.

Name

edit

Does anyone know when the name changed from the Black Country Museum to the Black Country Living Museum? If so, could that info go in the lede. GrindtXX (talk) 14:43, 5 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

For a review, see:

From whence I found this page.

Google indicates that an adult entry is around £23 which seems very steep in 2023, but according to that review in 2012, high prices were the mode even then.

The Café was in the same state as when we had entered it some time previously but when you really have no other choice you have to go for it. Two small warmish drinks, a milkshake, two pieces of cake and two small tubs of freezer burned ice cream for only £17.07 !
