Currently the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland operates only one time zone namely UTC/GMT with daylight savings time. The Channel Islands and Isle of Man are crown dependencies which happen to follow the exact same arrangements due to their geographical closeness. I am not sure whether the UK "operates" the time zones of these places. Rugxulo (talk) 00:38, 22 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

What if a city or county/counties etc. said, we are sick of losing an hour of daylight every day for a few months every year, we are going to stay on Summer Time permanently. Middle More Rider (talk) 19:32, 15 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
