Rogers had served as a non-independent director of Rogers Communications Inc. since December 1979. With her husband, Ted Rogers, she established the Loretta A. She married [[Edward S. Rogers' only son, [[Edward S. Rogers III|Edward Rogers III]], is the chairman of Rogers Communications and the Rogers Control Trust, which controls the majority of the voting shares of Rogers Communications.{{citation needed|date= June 2022}}

On November 20, 2014, she spearheaded the [https://tedrogersresearch.ca/ Ted Rogers Centre for Heart Research], which launched after a $130 million gift from Rogers' family in his memory. It was at the time the largest private gift in Canadian health-care history. This Centre united [[Hospital for Sick Children (Toronto)|The Hospital for Sick Children]], [[University Health Network]] and the [[University of Toronto]] in taking new approaches to how we diagnose, treat and prevent heart failure in adults and children. It is believed to be the world's first institute to bring together research, education and innovation in personalized medicine, stem cell research, bioengineering, regenerative medicine, digital health and advanced clinical care under one umbrella with a single focus. Loretta Rogers served as the Centre's honorary patron until her passing.
