    The 1986 Duke Blue Devils football team represented Duke University as a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) during the 1986 NCAA Division I-A football season. Led by fourth-year head coach Steve Sloan, the Blue Devils compiled an overall record of 4–7 with a mark of 2–5 in conference play, and tied for sixth place in the ACC. Duke played home games at Wallace Wade StadiuminDurham, North Carolina.
