Borran-e Sofla (Persian: بران سفلی)[a] is a village in, and the capital of, Borran Rural DistrictofBorran District, Aslan Duz County, Ardabil province, Iran.[4]
At the 2006 census, its population was 649 in 121 households, when it was in Qeshlaq-e Gharbi Rural District of Aslan Duz District, Parsabad County.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 560 people in 144 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 617 people in 194 households.[2]
In 2017, Aslan Duz District was separated from Parsabad County in the establishment of Aslan Duz County, which was divided into two districts of two rural districts each, with Aslan Duz as its capital and only city.[4]
