Parsabad County (Persian: شهرستان پارس‌آباد) is in Ardabil province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Parsabad.[3]

History

After the 2006 National Census, the village of Tazeh Kand-e Qadim was elevated to the status of the city of Moghansar.[4] After the 2011 census, parts of the Central District were separated in the formation of Eslamabad District, and the village of Eslamabad became a city.[5]

After the 2016 census, Aslan Duz District was separated from the county in the establishment of Aslan Duz County.[6] In addition, the village of Owltan rose to city status.[7]

At the time of the 2006 census, the county's population was 164,576 in 34,456 households.[8] The following census in 2011 counted 173,182 people in 44,035 households.[9] The 2016 census measured the population of the county as 177,601 in 50,083 households.[2]
