Fulham is a rural locality in the Somerset Region, Queensland, Australia.[2] In the 2021 census, Fulham had a population of 53 people.[1]

Geography

The Deer Reserve State Forest (27°00′02S 152°29′41E / 27.0006°S 152.4947°E / -27.0006; 152.4947 (Deer Reserve State Forest)) is in the north of the locality. The state forest is 2,894 hectares (7,150 acres) and extends into the neighbouring localities of Gregors Creek to the north and Hazeldean to the north-east.[3]

The Deer Reserve National Park (27°04′52S 152°31′34E / 27.0811°S 152.526°E / -27.0811; 152.526 (Deer Reserve National Park (centre point))) is in the east of the locality.[4] The national park is 3,228 hectares (7,980 acres) and extends into the neighbouring localities of Hazeldean to the east, Cooeeimbardi to the south-east and Somerset Dam (the locality) further to the south-east.[4][5]

History

Cressbrook Lower State School opened on 11 April 1916 and closed in 1953.[6] It was at 2 Monks Road (corner Cooeeimbardi Road, 27°03′21S 152°27′12E / 27.05595°S 152.45333°E / -27.05595; 152.45333 (Cressbrook Lower State School (former))).[7][8][9]

Fulham State School opened in 1920 and closed circa 1953.[10] It was located at 372 Cressbrook Caboonbah Road (southern corner with Fulham Road, 27°04′38S 152°25′15E / 27.0771°S 152.4209°E / -27.0771; 152.4209 (Fulham State School), now in Cressbrook).[8][9]

Demographics

In the 2016 census, Fulham had a population of 35 people.[11]

In the 2021 census, Fulham had a population of 53 people.[1]
