The following is a list of countries that have Hindustani or another language called "Hindi" as an official language.

Official language[edit]

Country Region Population Status
 India Asia 1,367,703,110[1] Hindi is one of the two official union languages of India alongside English. Hindi and Urdu (both registers of Hindustani language) are official languages along with 20 others under the Eighth ScheduleofConstitution of India.
 Pakistan Asia 220,892,331[2] Urdu is co-official with English
 Fiji Oceania 889,327[3] Fiji Hindi is official alongside English and Fijian
Total 1,589,484,768

 South Africa Africa 59,622,350[4] More than 436,000 Hindi speakers.[5] According to the Constitution of South Africa, the Pan South African Language Board must promote and ensure respect for Hindi along with other languages
