Nuno Pires is a businessman from South Africa.[1] He is the co-founder of Altis Biologics.[2]

Career[edit]

Pires founded Altis Biologics with Nicolaas Duneas[3] in 2002.[4] He is the chief executiveofbusiness development at the company.[3]

In 2012 the company won the Africa SMME Awards in the Industrial Sector category.[5]

In 2014, Pires and Duneas won the Innovation Prize for Africa.[6] They received $100.000 for their Osteogenic Bone Matrix (OBM) innovation.[7]

Pires is a board member of the Licensing Executive Society South Africa.[8]
