Academic and Curriculum

[edit]

Across the College, the PSC Learning Program is designed around a number of different subjects, programs, courses and initiatives available to students. All of the subjects, programs and courses align with the Victorian Curriculum, the Victorian Certificate of Education and other tertiary and further educational opportunities that students may choose to access.

Learning throughout the College is supported by whole school evidence based initiatives such as Literacy. The programs are further developed through English as an Additional Language (EAL) classes using individual/small group programs in the Junior and Senior Schools.

The Senior School Curriculum is based around offerings for the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) and VCE Vocational Major (VCE VM) which includes academic subjects, and applied learning opportunities, providing students with the skills, knowledge and confidence they need for the workplace and/or further education at Applied Learning and University settings.

Performing Arts

[edit]

Performing Arts at the College, includes instrumental music, drama and an annual College Production. The College Production for 2024 is the Wizard of Oz and will be performed at the Cardinia Cultural Centre later in the year. For many years the College has taken part in the Victorian State Schools Spectacular (VSSS). In 2023, a student at the College was a member of the Principal Dance Ensemble of the VSSS, along with the PSC Dance Troupe.
