Untitled[edit]

I removed the reference to the Madonna-Britney-Christina kiss as there is no evidence or source that this was a reference to the Brody kiss. Rather, it seemed a typical attempt at titilation for the viewers.

Fair use rationale for Image:Oscars2002.JPG[edit]

Image:Oscars2002.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

"Lose Yourself"/Eminem Award[edit]

I think it would be appropriate to include some information regarding the award for Best Original Song - "Lose Yourself" from 8mile. In spite of winning the award, Eminem did not perform the song. I wonder if this had ever previously occurred (the other four nominated songs were all performed by their respective artists). I remember reading somewhere along the line that the reason for this was because the producers would not allow Eminem to perform the song unedited (i.e. - in its "explicit" version), therefore he refused to perform. I would think this would be considered quite a slight to the rest of the Academy; that someone would refuse to perform in, or even attend, an awards ceremony in which they ultimately received the prize. What is the consensus on this matter? Assuming verifiable research unearths some significant information regarding this subject, should it be included?Kp.murphy (talk) 17:14, 18 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Move discussion in progress[edit]

There is a move discussion in progress on Talk:Academy Awards which affects this page. Please participate on that page and not in this talk page section. Thank you. —RMCD bot 13:14, 4 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Polanski[edit]

More than 50,000 kb on the ceremony, and not a single mention of the fact that the winner for best picture couldn't attend and receive his award in person because of his legal history in the United States, so that somebody else had to accept the award in his name? --80.187.106.89 (talk) 16:49, 22 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism has messed up the awards list[edit]

The IP edit on 16:28, 13 August 2018‎ changed several of the films (I fixed Spirited Away) and could not be undone directly due to subsequent edits. Someone needs to go though and fix all of the films. Gatemansgc (TɅ̊LK) 18:48, 13 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
