There's no reason to keep all caps, no. I'd stick with Wikipedia guidelines, per WP:MoS. It's probably also worth checking to make sure that there's not a copyright violation, like if those sections were copy/pasted from somewhere else. --Elonka03:52, 30 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Caps changed. You may be right about the copyright vio... try this phrase in Google: "accomplishing both the peacetime and wartime naval tasks"
Good find. Yup, looks like everything on the page came verbatim from http://www.elmendorf.af.mil/ALCOM/ALCOM_FactSheet.htm . However, since it's a military site, I guess it's not a copyright violation (even images are generally free to use on Wikipedia, if they came from a U.S. government website). The article should still be updated though, to conform to MoS (and because it's just plain tacky to copy/paste verbatim from another site). --Elonka05:04, 30 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
So it seems that Alaskan Command is some sort of unit of the US military??? Perhaps the article should state this in it's
first sentence. As it is, the first sentence describes ALCOM's _mission_. For somebody coming to the page wondering wtf ALCOM actually is, this is unhelpful. 130.225.25.207 (talk) 07:30, 13 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I'm uncertain whether Alaska Command is part of PACOM anymore. I thought the 2011 Unified Command Plan put Alaska under the NORTHCOM area of responsibility. Can anyone verify?
