Wrong spelling?[edit]

I've only ever seen Alpes Poeninae in other sources. Is Alpes Poenninae really right? Q·L·1968 13:32, 29 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Lazio?[edit]

Why is this a Lazio stub? Arthurian Legend 00:52, 18 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"Alpes Poeninae, also known as Alpes Graiae"[edit]

The statement "also known as" is erroneous, also known as bull. The Alpes Poeninae were the upper Rhône valley, therefore known as Vallensis, today's Swiss canton of Valais (en français) or Wallis (auf Deutsch). The Alpes Graiae on the other hand comprised the upper Isère valley. The two seem to have been administered for most of their history as one province, but occasionally they may have been separate. [The sources are very scanty here.] After the Diocletian reforms in 297 they were one of the eight provinces of the Diocese of Gaul under the name of "Alpes Poeninae et Graiae".93.208.80.78 (talk) 15:57, 21 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Yes indeed, it's corrected now. Berig, I think it should be moved to Alpes Graiae et Poeninae. I've explained the situation in the article based on WP:RS. Alcaios (talk) 15:10, 17 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
OK, there is no edit history in the target name.--Berig (talk) 15:48, 17 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
