According to the article, sounds like Philadelphia's charities only lost "up to $100,000" in April. (Or gained over $11.9 million, depending on how you read it.)
"Events such as the AIDS Walk Philly and the Gay Bingo fund raising event were cancelled, losing up to $100,000 in revenue. Philadelphia leaders formed the PHL COVID-19 Fund to assist non-profits. It has generated over $12 million.[1]"
Yeah, that's all. Skip proms, tourism, conventions, MLB, 15% unemployment in Philly, and fund raising for the arts. And, btw, there was a small spike of confirmed cases 10-12 days after the riots. (https://weather.com/coronavirus/l/39.9525,-75.1644)
I am a Philadelphian who is mighty impressed this city has kept low on COVID compared to most cities. With the amount of blatant bias in this poorly written marketing piece, no one will know that. 72.94.178.112 (talk) 12:18, 8 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
