Other terminology[edit]

Shouldn't the "Other terminology" include some mention of a "doghouse" traffic signal? It is used at intersections where motorists sometimes can make a left turn without having to wait for oncoming traffic, in which case a lighted green arrow appears. At other times, a green ball (or dot) appears, and drivers attempting a left turn must yield to oncoming traffic. The left green and yellow arrow are placed next to the green and yellow ball, respectively, while a red ball is centered at the top, giving a doghouse-like appearance to the assembly. 66.234.220.195 (talk) 15:31, 23 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Why?[edit]

Why do people still make doghouses? Aren't dogs better off inside with the rest of the family? Kingturtle (talk) 13:03, 9 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Advertising[edit]

The final link shown, "Dog House Plans," leads only to books for sale and contains no useful information, despite its misleading description. 75.172.152.18 (talk) 01:09, 15 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Indeed, most of the links on the page were to sites advertising ebooks or selling doghouses, which added nothing to this article. I've removed them. Arathald (talk) 06:25, 29 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

"Disappearing" section has been deleted[edit]

The section "disappearing" has been deleted of reason not understandable, no source.

I think the connection of watchdogs and dog houses should be noticed. In countries where watch dogs are forbidden (like Sweden the last 50 years) there are no dog houses anymore. When I was a kid before pohibition of vired dogs in the 60s doghouses were all around in the country. In fact watch dog culture and dog house culture are the same.

This topic is the only content in the Swedish Wikipedia page of dog house. --Zzalpha (talk) 11:14, 7 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
