2014 suspension of new projects in Russia[edit]

Why is this headline frequently reverted to "Sanctions Tool against Russia"? "Sanctions Tool" is quite ambiguous IMO, while "suspension of new projects" or the like is both more NPOV and more descriptive. The decision to suspend new projects could after all be interpreted in different ways. I would like more opinions on this instead of a low-intense edit-war which isn't helping anyone. Best, Yakikaki (talk) 19:55, 4 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

"Sanctions Tool" is also horrible writing. "Suspension of new projects" is much better, though of course the reason for it should be explained in the para.Volunteer Marek (talk) 20:47, 4 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
"Sanctions Tool" is such Russian propaganda. lol. "Tool" to do what? It sounds like the Russian conspiracy theory that the western world is out to get them. Plus, as Volunteer Marek said, its bad English. But I think the current section title can also be improved because it sounds awkward and it is pretty long to read. I think something like "2014 Sanctions on Russia" or "Decreased cooperation with Russia in 2014" or "2014 Response to Russian aggression".--BoguSlav 03:00, 5 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

External links modified[edit]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. Photos of HQ[edit]

To whom it may concern, I am the photo editor and photographer at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. I have been in contact with Wikipedia regarding uploading some photos of the banks Headquarters to this page. I will be posting them on this page within the next few days. If anyone has any concerns or questions please contact me EBRDphoto (talk) 11:31, 11 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

EBRDphoto thank you for this note. Before you make these edits, please read the Conflict of interest and paid editing guidelines and be careful to abide by them (including making a clear declaration on your user page). I assume by "posting on this page" you do not mean adding them to the article but rather making an edit request here on the talk page. Thank you Melcous (talk) 13:09, 11 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the info Melcous. My employer is indeed the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, however I dont want to make any changes to the text or information. I simply want to upload some pictures of the Headquarters, in the spirit of Wikimedia, that people can use free of charge. If I am not allowed to upload these pictures perhaps you would be willing to this? The link to the photos is here:

Thanks for your photos - very much appreciated! AndrewRT(Talk) 18:05, 3 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Map or table would be nice[edit]

A map of member & operating countries would be nice, possibly including voting rights?

Also proposals for reform as per this report: [1]

French name & acronym[edit]

Mention should be made in the first paragraph of the French name & acronym - 'Banque européenne pour la reconstruction et le développement (BERD)'. After all it did start at a meeting in Paris - and many international NGOs were referring to it as BERD at that time. 114.77.121.140 (talk) 12:58, 8 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
