Problems[edit]

There are some formatting problems with this article. A whole paragraph is lost because it's inside some kind of formatting box (surrounded with dashed lines). I don't know how to fix it, but i hope someone does, becaus you can't read the information unless you go under 'edit'—Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.3.128.95 (talk) 19:24, November 6, 2005

There's also a town in western Arkansas called "Jenny Lind."

There's also a community in North Carolina called "Jenny Lind."

Wiki Education assignment: Classic and Romantic Music History[edit]

This article was the subject of a Wiki Education Foundation-supported course assignment, between 16 January 2024 and 9 May 2024. Further details are available on the course page. Student editor(s): Reblpet, Josephjmail04, Kcruse03 (article contribs).

These student editors need close supervision. The text added today by a student was badly written in execrable English that nevertheless managed to paraphrase the source, Rogers, much too closely. Another editor beat me to the punch in fixing it. Carlstak (talk) 03:55, 1 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The student also threw in the bare url of the source without paying attention to the fact that it had already been cited (correctly). Before editing a well-developed article (as opposed to stub and start-class articles) it is important to know how to cite sources fully an to keep the prose concise. Students should skim through our Manual of Style. -- Ssilvers (talk) 04:24, 1 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
