Coverage[edit]

I've added about all I can from my books. I don't think the coverage is complete though, but getting there. -Fnlayson (talk) 18:05, 28 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Here's an article put out today that gives an overview of the Australia order mess: "Audit backs Australia's cancellation of Super Seasprite deal" -Fnlayson (talk) 15:48, 24 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Blacklisted Links Found on the Main Page[edit]

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request its removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.

Below is a list of links that were found on the main page:

External links modified[edit]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Kaman SH-2G Super Seasprite. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true to let others know.

US Navy retirement reason?[edit]

How come the Kaman SH-2G Super Seasprite retired for the US Navy? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Clrichey (talkcontribs) 02:47, 10 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Because they no longer use them. They now use the Sikorsky SH-60 Seahawk as their main service helo. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 139.180.91.26 (talk) 07:44, 5 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Why is that, then? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Clrichey (talkcontribs) The SH-60B was MUCH more capable, but larger. Some ships did not have the space to operate a SH-60 - Those were decommissioned in the 1989 to 1996 period - which led to the retirement of the Sea Sprite. Known examples - Knox Class Frigates, Belknap Class cruisers (I could be wrong) I have heard a unverified statement a Spruance class design criteria was to be able to carry 2 SH-60B. Perry Class Frigates (FFG) original design did not support SH-60- easily and quickly modified. Wfoj3 (talk) 23:37, 4 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
