Wiki Education Foundation-supported course assignment[edit]

This article was the subject of a Wiki Education Foundation-supported course assignment, between 28 October 2019 and 23 November 2019. Further details are available on the course page. Student editor(s): ALKNOPTR.

Weak sources[edit]

In the "prevention" section there are weak sources i.e. primary sources and two MDPI predatory papers. A better source to add would be this systematic review published in 2022 [1]. I suggest this source should be added and the weak sources removed. Psychologist Guy (talk) 22:36, 4 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Bevacizumab[edit]

The University of Michigan Health System, Department of Ophthalmology, treated my wife today with Bevacizumab, and told us it would stop the progression of Wet AMD. They did not qualify that statement, meaning they were positive that it would work because it was scientifically proven in the published literature. My doctorate is in biophysics and my medical research, at the University of Michigan Medical School, centered on the Central Nervous System, so I know nothing about Wet AMD. But I do know that all the references in this article are woefully out-of-date, being all over five-years-old, and I am certain that the physicians at the University of Michigan are the best in the world. Someone who does know about the best, up-to-date, treatment of Wet AMD, needs to update this article. Nick Beeson (talk) 00:10, 29 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
