Afghanistan and Afghan people are basically Indian

[edit]

The mosque was really a HINDU TEMPLE, as Afghanistan was originally part of india and an important part of HINDUISM. All Afghan people were originally Hindu and to escape the persecution of Persians, Arabs and Moslems, they had to change many of the ancient Hindu temples into Shrines etc... this article needs to be changed.

Wrong...Afghanistan was the land of the Bactrian king Visthasp, where the Zoroastrian religion planted its roots and grew out from. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.137.31.93 (talk) 02:03, 27 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Same as the Blue Mosque in the Mazari Sharif article?

[edit]

I see there are several images of a Blue Mosque in the Mazari Sharif article. Here's one, is it the same thing that this article is about? Manxruler (talk) 13:11, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, It is the same mosque —Preceding unsigned comment added by M. Ebrahim Fazly (talkcontribs) 17:46, 21 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the move request was: move the page to Blue Mosque (Mazar-i-Sharif) at this time. If you would like to propose a different title for the article, please feel free to initiate a new move request. Dekimasu! 00:16, 9 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Shrine of AliBlue Mosque, Mazar-i-Sharif – This mosque being the shrine of Ali, according to the article, is only a local legend. This name is more prevalent and is used in other wikis, including Persian Wikipedia. Ali VII (talk) 18:52, 26 July 2018 (UTC) Ali VII (talk) 18:52, 26 July 2018 (UTC)--Relisting. The above discussion is preserved as an archive of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on this talk page or in a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.

Revision of the article

[edit]

Large parts of this article are poorly written or rely too much on non-WP:RS sources. In the coming weeks, I hope to try and improve the text a bit. I'd like to rewrite it. Hezbollaist (talk) 11:29, 20 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
