Motive

[edit]

"Ethan Crumbley hoped that the shooting would “cause Biden to get impeached” according to an alleged diary entry." [1] [2][3]

Is this something that we should update on the right-side information bar? Im aware that its already in the Wikipedia page

  1. ^ "Ethan Crumbley planned Oxford school shooting 'to get Biden impeached'". The Independent. 19 May 2022.
  • ^ Colton, Emma (19 May 2022). "Oxford shooting suspect Ethan Crumbley hoped massacre would get Biden impeached, records show". Fox News.
  • ^ Alexander, Harriet (20 May 2022). "Michigan school shooter hoped the attack would spark Biden impeachment". Mail Online.
  • Inaccurate information

    [edit]

This was not the deadliest school shooting at the time. Check the facts of the Parkland, FL shooting. 17 people died and 17 were injured. 2601:19C:4A02:D66F:ECBA:A6AD:91A9:6E47 (talk) 21:36, 18 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

    Under Victims:
"At the time, this incident was the deadliest school shooting in the United States since the 2018 Santa Fe High School shooting.[42]"
    This is inaccurate. 2603:9000:A0F0:1EB0:44C2:B120:7DFC:5770 (talk) 08:50, 1 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The shooting in Santa Fe took place after the Parkland shooting, and because the Santa Fe shooting was deadlier than this one it would be inaccurate to say this shooting was the deadliest since the one in Parkland. XeCyranium (talk) 01:20, 7 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, this phrase can be understood incorrectly and probably just undue in the para about the victims. My very best wishes (talk) 21:25, 7 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It likely should be reworded and moved rather than axed entirely. --Super Goku V (talk) 09:33, 15 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

    1st sentence:

    [edit]

"On November 30, 2021, a mass shooting occurred at Oxford High School in the Detroit exurb of Oxford Township, Michigan, United States."

Imho, School shooting is more appropiate than mass shooting. Search'n'write (talk) 13:57, 2 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

    Parents sentencing incorrect

    [edit]

They were convicted but not sentenced. 10-15 years is what the prosecution requested, but their sentence has yet to be determined. 2601:98D:C280:6E60:5DD1:94F3:3593:4F32 (talk) 19:39, 9 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

That doesn't seem to be what the sources in the article say, although perhaps those sources hadn't been added prior to this comment. XeCyranium (talk) 19:10, 18 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

    Detroit exurb?

    [edit]

Oxford High school is in Oxford, MI which is not a Detroit exurb. In fact there are numerous cities between Detroit and Oxford. Please stop associating everything with Detroit. They are not us. We are not them! They don’t even like us! 172.58.127.140 (talk) 04:58, 17 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
