Draft notes[edit]

Hi, Pdub2014. I did some cleanup and found a couple problems. First, the logo. The file you uploaded to Commons must be deleted. Logos are copyrighted and Commons does not allow any copyrighted images. However, you can upload the same file to English Wikipedia as a fair use exception to copyright and then readd it here. The logo on Vicksburg is fair use. Copy the rationale from that and use the upload file tab on any page to access the upload wizard making sure you choose English Wikipedia and not Commons. It will walk you through the steps and you can paste the rationale in the appropriate box.

The infobox goes first. I fixed that. Also, the template you had at the top isn't needed.

I copyedited the lede to get the district name in. Also, it appears from NCES that the grade levels you have are incorrect. According to them, the district only has two schools, an elementary school and a combined middle and high school.

That also leaves the school name in question and we'll have to figure that out too. If the name is wrong the title is wrong, but if that's the case I can fix that when I move it into the encyclopedia.

In Academics, the stuff sourced to the school has to go. Achievements require independent sources. You could probably source the MEAP to the state, but we don't generally include MEAP.

In athletics, I can see you modeled the copy of my bit about the SI articles on Vicksburg. I did that because the details of those SI articles wouldn't have added anything within guidelines to the school article. Your source is different. You could add a whole subsection on the mascot based on that article. It's quite interesting. Keep it brief, hitting the high points. The mascot's name, the fact that it's the mayor (and you can include his name), the pushups after TD thing, when he started. The stuff about sports in general isn't encyclopedic though. To make a subsection header, just add one more equals symbol to each end.

All in all, you're doing great. If you want me to take care of the logo, drop me a note including the link to Facebook. Thanks. John from Idegon (talk) 21:01, 13 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
