What is meant by "As this holiday always fall on a Sunday it is not widely known" in relation to Pentecost? I was under the impression that it is a well known holiday.
I meant that Poles don't know that it is a legal holiday, because on Sundays people are not going to work anyway. Przepla19:40, 5 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Except that many Poles do go to work on Sundays. All shopping malls, supermarkets etc are open on Sundays in Poland (unlike in parts of Europe). Only a few years back, when the holidays really got non-working status - and stores where forced to close, people really found about that day - yes, this is true. And many people still go to the closed malls and get angry :/. However you can't say that on Sundays Poles don't go to work as their is no such regulation and this depends on the employer - and in international chain retail this means: open. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.255.56.129 (talk) 23:34, 30 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Can someone confirm that Mother's Day in Poland is on May 26, please ? It says so on the Mother's Day page. An explanation to why this date is chosen would be nice, too. Thanks. -- PFHLai 14:07, 2005 May 8 (UTC)
I edited the article but I'm not sure if the "May holidays" paragraph is written in the right place (it may be better if it was putted after the "National holidays" or "Former holidays" paragraph. MalikLove (talk) 18:19, 2 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
