There is no trace of any Howard Sherer writing any book titled My Navy Career in the Library of Congress Catalog or in OCLC's Worldcat database or in the Amazon store. Goggle searches have also failed to come up with this book.--AlainV (talk) 02:46, 3 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It is available as a free download from Lulu.com. Wikipedia has blacklisted Lulu.com, as it mostly features self-published works. It is also available for purchase for a small fee from Barnes & Noble.com TeriEmbrey (talk) 20:48, 20 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It is worth noting that Capt. Gallery was not universally praised for the U505 stunt. If the Germans had found out about it, and had then gone and changed all their codes, the Navy had threatened to court-martial his butt. Basically he had handed them a big headache, and nothing code-wise that the Allies didn't already know about anyways.. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ferrocephalus (talkcontribs) 06:20, 31 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please see the discussion on this page about the correct spelling for "uniflow". (or is it "unaflow"...?) Thanks - theWOLFchild 22:23, 17 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
