Joints and bones

[edit]

Weight pulling is bad for a dog's joints and bones. Veterinarians advise against it for that reason. 71.28.243.28 00:45, 4 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Not true. With a proper fitting harness combined with good conditioning- dogs are often able to enjoy satisfying lives since they have additional care and affection from their masters. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.40.134.40 (talk) 22:06, 6 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"However, in actuality weight pulling dogs do frequently get serious muscle and joint injuries as a direct result of the strain brought on by the weight pulling." [1] Given reference consists of a column in the magazine Hundsport and the above statements are taken from the Chronicle. The author of the Chronicle express their opinion. Opinions are not facts. A. Hallgren did not provide any references to the allegations he makes in his column. This matter; if dogs get muscle and joint injuries of WP as a direct cause, needs to be researched before anyone can make any claims of any kind. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Flamma77 (talkcontribs) 10:17, 20 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree that this can't be included. The original addition has been reworded to explain that it's an opinion. It's notable that someone has claimed this, whether or not the claims were substantiated. Not including the information violates WP:NPOV and WP:NOTCENSORED. -- Trevj (talk) 07:47, 21 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
