This template creates a reference to the On-Line Encyclopedia of Integer Sequences (OEIS). Parameter |1= is the identifying A-number, |2= (optional) is the name of the sequence:
By default, this template generates a ref anchor which can be addressed using {{sfn|Sloane "sequence number"}} etc.
Before April 2018, this template was named {{SloanesRef}}.
The template requires the sequence number and optionally a name.

When in doubt, or the template does not show as expected: add |1, 2= (required when the input contains an "=" sign):
|sequencenumber=, |name=:|formalname= -- |name= might be shortened for convenience. |formalname= can then hold the longer, formal OEIS name for future use.|accessdate=|editor-link=|editor-first=|editor-last= (this also changes the default ref anchor accordingly: {{sfn|editor-last "sequence number"}})|ref= specifies an explicit ref anchor. Do not use cite web's default value of harv.|mode= specifies the generated citation format. Default is cs1, specify cs2 for citation-style.
