Mark Takano[edit]

)

Created/expanded by Muboshgu (talk). Self nom at 20:31, 3 October 2012 (UTC)

  • Putting aside the IOU in review, there is the technicality that the prose review gives me 249 words - 1 under 250 for "not a stub" limit :> I further agree with the nom that the article should be published, and hook should be rephrased, after the election. As such I suggest that this article be re-reviewed after that period, and that this nom is moved to the "selected anniversaries" section, perhaps for late November?

--Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 21:19, 3 October 2012 (UTC)

  • The IOU is still there because I didn't expect a same day review! I'll add a qpq in the next day or so. I didn't know 250 was a technical definition of a stub. I've expanded it a bit more so it's clear of that hurdle. We already have an "After November 6" holding area for some of these politicians I've been creating articles for, and this article should go there, promoting them at whatever rate. – Muboshgu (talk) 00:10, 4 October 2012 (UTC)
  • I've removed the notability tag: if somehow Takano doesn't win after being declared the winner by a number of media outlets, including the New York Times, it's going to be a notable shock indeed, as he's ahead by 16K votes with a margin of over 12.7%. The county has over 499K votes counted already, with another 105K vote-by-mail, 60K provisional, and 18K damaged ballots still to count, but the district is a fraction of the county. Yes, fair enough. I also see that references have been added to support "non-white". And I guess that's the same as "person of colour". StAnselm (talk) 22:55, 7 November 2012 (UTC)
