Untitled[edit]

To what extent is this template useful, considering there is an identical category? The JPS 20:24, 29 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

It's a British version of Template:Noteworthy Amusement Parks. I think it's useful to have direct links to other big-name british theme parks, as people are likely to be interested in them. --Frankie Roberto 22:42, 7 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Apostrophe on Tussauds?[edit]

On this template, there is a section entitled "Tussaud's Theme Parks", followed by a list of theme parks owned by The Tussauds Group. The problem is that, as the company name is Tussauds, shouldn't it read "Tussauds' theme parks"?

When I look at various Tussauds' park logos, I see they make this same "mistake" e.g. "Tussaud's Alton Towers". Is this a mistake on both theirs and wikipedia's part, which should be corrected, or is it a special exception to the rules of grammar, which I don't know about, which only applies to Tussauds?

The company was originally Madama Tussaud's Waxworks, but it's now a big corporate group, and as such is reverting to 'Tussauds'. Alton Towers and Chessington retain the apostrophe, but Thorpe Park loses it. It's probably best to refer to them as 'Tussauds theme parks', (as a compound noun phrase rather than a possessive). --Frankie Roberto 22:42, 7 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Selected[edit]

Would it not be an idea to have the word 'selected' as the Noteworthy Amusement Parks Template does, as it is I think it implies that this is a comprehensive list and these are the only theme parks in the uk. --ericthefish 19:24, 24 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
