Please add old flag before 2006

@Theurgist: According to Cyprus it actually only became independent in August 1960. What would be a better variant label for the April–August flag? Something like April 1960?SiBr₄ (talk) 15:35, 19 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@SiBr4: I think "April 1960" is OK. Before requesting the edit I was considering asking at Wikipedia:WikiProject Cyprus if the abolition of the August 1960 variant and the adoption of the 2006 variant happened in April 2006 or in August 2006, because both the English and the Greek articles on the flag are giving both dates. Either there is a mistake or, perhaps, yet another variant existed for a couple of months in 2006.

BTW, a link to another user's page sends a notification to that user only if a new signature is added with the very same edit. You seem to have replaced your signature of 15:34 with a signature of 15:35 with this edit, but I still did not receive a notification for it. Probably notifications work only if there is a separate, entirely new signature. --Theurgist (talk) 18:17, 19 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
