Possibly broken TemplateData — issues with Visual Editor[edit]

See Wikipedia_talk:TemplateData#Template:Infobox_radio_station_-_duplicated/blank_fields

Incorporating some parameters from Template:Infobox company[edit]

Couldn't some parameters from Template:Infobox company be incorporated into this template, so many articles about radio stations in Japan don't have to place both templates? JSH-alive/talk/cont/mail 03:55, 25 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Webcast -- raw LiveStream URL vs Website Player URL?[edit]

In the template, the Webcast entry is defined as "Live streaming URL of radio station, using [URL Listen Live]"

How is the "Live streaming URL" intended to be interpreted?

For every station that has a livestream there is the actual stream URL which maybe hosted by a third party. Many stations also have a ListenLive player on their web site which connects to the actual livestream URL.

Should there not be two optional entries in the template -- one for the raw livestream URL and one for the website player?

On some radio station pages on Wikipedia I see the URL of the player rather than the raw livestream on the radio station web page and this is somewhat redundant since most of the home pages of radio stations have a ListenLive at the top of the page to the web player and the home page URL of the radio station is already present in the template, whereas the actual livestream URL is most helpful if it is needed for use with software media players (mplayer, vlc etc) or Internet Radio device services (FrontierSilicon, vTuner etc). 107.183.39.233 (talk) 14:44, 15 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Slogan not in the infobox.[edit]

I noticed that the slogan is not in the add options for this info box it used to be in here before. Why isn’t in the info box choices? 120.28.224.231 (talk) 15:21, 16 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

It was removed by consensus as overly promotional and in line with similar decisions in other infoboxes. See Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Radio Stations/Archive 2021#Removing slogan parameter from Infobox radio station and Infobox television station.
