Notice of paid work relating to Wikipedia
Since January 29, 2017, I have been employed as a private contractor by a variety of clients. I’ve used my Wikipedia account in a professional and personal capacity to add factual information to articles related to the clients, only with supporting third party news sources. I have endeavored to make sure all my edits are factually sourced.

The contracts were obtained through a variety of websites. The subjects are checked for notability to the best of my understanding of WP:Notability, etc. Any influence by the client about the actual content of the article are summarily rejected. Independent research is conducted, articles meticulously cited and submitted for review to AFC.

I no longer advertise or actively seek paid work. I, sometimes, continue to work with my previous employers if contacted. However, I am mostly busy with my new career.

Wikipedia industrial-powered search

Do you need more search power? You wish to leave no stone unturned?

AutoWikiBrowser includes a tool called Database Scanner that searches Wikipedia offline from your hard disk. It returns a simple unformatted single-column list of pages that match your criteria.

It is in AWB's tool menu. To use the scanner, first download the Wikipedia Database and unzip it. No login is required to use the tool, so you do not need to be a registered AWB user. Database Scanner supports regular expressions (regex) and it supports two search fields that it uses at the same time: one for searching titles and one for searching page content.

It may take over 20 minutes for a search to finish, so the best approach may be to change to another window and forget about the search for a while, though it can be fun (and enlightening) to watch the titles as they appear on the list (and look some up while you are waiting). Database Scanner also has a filter feature to further refine the list of results.

What "Ignore all rules" means

[edit]

Rules are mostly made to be broken and are too often for the lazy to hide behind.

Rules are for fools

— Unknown. (As used by coaches/motivators)[2]

By all means break the rules, and break them beautifully, deliberately and well. That is one of the ends for which they exist.

The code is more what you call "guidelines" than actual rules.

The rules are only barriers to keep children from falling.

Give me the judgment of balanced minds in preference to laws every time. Codes and manuals create patterned behavior. All patterned behavior tends to go unquestioned, gathering destructive momentum.
