Robert Walpole[edit]

Extracts from statutes in Norman French contain hand-written notes by Walpole in the same language.

[1]

David Cameron[edit]

Theresa May[edit]

Boris Johnson[edit]

Johnson has varying degrees of proficiency in six foreign languages. French, Italian, German, Spanish, Latin and Ancient Greek. His multilingualism is said to be a result of having to relocate numerous times during his childhood for his father Stanley Johnson's job in Europe. Similar to many other publicly educated students Johnson has knowledge of Ancient Greek and Latin; the later of which he taught when on a gap year in Australia.
