Re: Extention protection setting request of America's Next Top Model, Cycle 12

It's protected for a month right now, but I have it on my watchlist and when the time is up I will probably re-protect it. Usually we don't like to protect for huge periods of time at once. I have my eye on it, though. ... discospinster talk 03:33, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

OK, If the semi-protection is expired, I'll request it at RFP section. --ApprenticeFan Messages 03:35, 6 March 2009 (UTC)
It's still semi-protected until April 6. At that point I will likely semi-protect it again, since I have it on my watchlist. ... discospinster talk 03:40, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

Alexis Grace

Why do you object to undeletion of the history. With the page protected no one can recreate it without discussing and getting it unprotected first. (Technically admins can, but they're unlikely to risk their admin abilities over it and consensus can easily be reinstated.) - Mgm|(talk) 22:53, 13 March 2009 (UTC)

Neither the article would restore it. --ApprenticeFan Messages Work 01:36, 14 March 2009 (UTC)

Editing advice

Please don't make comments such as this which threaten editors who are trying to ensure that articles comply with policy and guidelines. PhilKnight (talk) 12:56, 11 April 2009 (UTC)

I'm sorry for my bad faith editing. I'm apologizing that I will do my edits and I'm active Wikipedian. ApprenticeFan talk contribs 14:51, 11 April 2009 (UTC)

Sorry

I honestly did not realize it was too bright. I apologize. - BBSE

Good faith

I don't get your comment about assuming good faith on the list of ANTM contestants. Nor do I understand how you can say that London's name stated by London herself is an alias. Could you please explain to me what you meant?--Whadaheck (talk) 00:11, 18 April 2009 (UTC)

You should need reliable sources in need of biographies of living persons. ApprenticeFan talk contribs 04:23, 18 April 2009 (UTC)

Tom Buchanan

Hi there. I was originally planning to redirect Tom BuchanantoSurvivor: Africa as you suggested, but in the discussion itself Mgm suggested "Redirect to latest season he appeared in", and others more or less agreed with this. Certainly, there was nobody who opined to redirect to the Survivor Africa article. That said, I'm certainly happy for you to change the redirect target if you think that makes more sense, although the "All Stars" article links back to the "Africa" article, and not vice versa. Lankiveil (speak to me) 06:29, 23 April 2009 (UTC).

Anyway, Lex van den Berghe is redirects to Survivor: Africa resulted as AFD consensus. Please see link here. ApprenticeFan talk contribs 06:35, 23 April 2009 (UTC)
That's fine, but the consensus in the Tom Buchanan AFD was clearly different, and called for a redirect to the "latest season he appeared in", which is the Survivor All Stars season. As I said, I'm generally happy for you to alter the redirects any which way you see fit if, as a subject matter expert, you think it's more appropriate (I freely admit that I know little to nothing about reality television programmes, including the "Survivor" series). Lankiveil (speak to me) 06:40, 23 April 2009 (UTC).

WikiBirthday

I saw from here that it's been exactly four years since you joined the project. Happy WikiBirthday! Keep up the good work, rʨanaɢ talk/contribs 08:00, 26 April 2009 (UTC)

AfD nomination of Celia Ammerman

I have nominated Celia Ammerman, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Celia Ammerman. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Plastikspork (talk) 04:54, 7 May 2009 (UTC)

Note that you automatically received this message as the creator of the original redirect, not the editor that turned into a full article. Thanks! Plastikspork (talk) 04:58, 7 May 2009 (UTC)
Thanks, I actually created it as redirect to parent article. ApprenticeFan talk contribs 05:27, 7 May 2009 (UTC)

Aussie top model call out order tables

I'm not going to start an edit war. I would rather sort this out now. Firstly, I have removed the black from the tables because it is un-necessary and goes against wikipedia style guidelines. I left this note on the main aussie top model talk page but i'm assuming nobody has seen it. I wrote there that I could not care less what the America's Next Top Model pages look like, I know uniformity is great, but only if it is done properly. I am trying to set a standard, like the background colours in the fields of the contestants for different statuses. For the moment, I will revert the tables again for now but I would like to hear your justification for it other than "look like the american and other top model pages". Thanks. --Lakeyboy (talk) 10:44, 12 May 2009 (UTC)

Well, it is not black it is light gray. What Internet program you used? Firefox or Internet Explorer old version? In older versions of Internet Explorer, there is no light gray colspan box in call-out order table. But, in newer versions of Firefox, the gray box appears it on Aussie top model articles. ApprenticeFan talk contribs 10:50, 12 May 2009 (UTC)

Oh I see. It must be a browser issue. I've done some checks. It displays as black in IE8, but it does display in light grey in Chrome, Safari and Firefox. I honestly thought it was rogue editing and not a browser issue. In that case, we might need to change the code into a light grey that IE understands as it doesn't seem to work for IE. Here is how it looks on my end: [1] --Lakeyboy (talk) 11:27, 12 May 2009 (UTC)

It seems bad, the black/grey box thing was a mess when it appears in IE. ApprenticeFan talk contribs 11:33, 12 May 2009 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Jessica Santiago

Aproposed deletion template has been added to the article Jessica Santiago, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

nn contestant

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. F (talk) 11:41, 22 May 2009 (UTC)

Twinkle did not nominate this page for deletion properly. I already removed the redlink from today's AFD page, but you might want to try again. MrKIA11 (talk) 13:06, 16 June 2009 (UTC)

Multiple AfDs

Having nominated various articles on foreign language Wikipedias for deletion, you may find this useful. In the future, it's probably easier to combine them into one discussion. Thanks! Greg Tyler (tc) 18:46, 18 June 2009 (UTC)
