Hello Jonny Nixon Please note that the lead of the Ned Kelly article accords with MOS in its treatment of commonly used names MOS:NICK.Vis:
"For any kind of alternative name, use formulations like the following (as applicable):
Timothy Alan Dick (born June 13, 1953), known professionally as Tim Allen
Alessandro di Mariano di Vanni Filipepi (c. 1445 – May 17, 1510), better known as Sandro Botticelli
Ariadna Thalía Sodi Miranda (born 26 August 1971), known mononymously as Thalía"
Thank you.--Aemilius Adolphin (talk) 22:38, 16 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Aemilius Adolphin: Nope, in MOS:NICKNAME, "alternative name" doesn't apply for Kelly, but "common English-language hypocorism" certainly does. —Jonny Nixon (talk) 11:50, 19 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Jonny Nixon: Hi mate! I’ve just done a lot of editing on the Paul Green page and I see that you have, too. Do you know, is it appropriate to have a subsection to the Death section called 'Reaction'? It seems that it would be, but I don’t actually know whether this happens in this way. Also, I can’t find anything about when he married Amanda…? All the best. Women in Red 8th Anniversary |
InJuly 2015 around 15.5% of the English Wikipedia's biographies were about women. As of July 2023, 19.61% of the English Wikipedia's biographies are about women. That's a lot of biographies created in the effort to close the gender gap. Happy 8th Anniversary! Join us for some virtual cake and add comments or memories and please keep on editing to close the gap! |
